APPROACH

Golden Palm Investments Corporation (“GPIC”) believes that it’s good business practice to have strong social and corporate governance principles. Incorporating these principles into our business practices is good for our shareholders, investors, clients, employees, investee companies and their stakeholders, in the long-term. In addition to complying with regulatory requirements, we encourage our team, subsidiaries and portfolio companies to include environmental, social and corporate governance policies in their everyday business activities.

Our approach is motivated by the company’s core values, to which we expect our team to adhere, in the way they conduct themselves and represent GPIC. In furtherance of our motivation to advance the welfare of our consumers, GPIC also dedicates its financial, human and intellectual resources to multiple social initiatives. These initiatives include, but are not limited to corporate governance and social responsibility.

corporate governance

Corporate Governance means more to GPIC than simply complying with laws. Our management structure ensures that we are completely accountable, transparent and show integrity in our dealings.

GPIC is led by a Board of Directors that provide leadership and strategic direction. We have also selected an investment committee, consisting of our most experienced team members, who are committed to our core values and steer GPIC in a path of total compliance.

GPIC also takes bribery and corruption of any kind, very seriously. We have implemented a strict in-house Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy, to which all our employees, advisers, independent contractors and affiliates accept.

GLG Social impact fellowship

GPIC is proud to be a social impact investor. We understand that the needs of a community can be served by entrepreneurship. Thus, in our assessment of possible investment opportunities, one of our core principles is to investigate the material social risks, as well as the social impact of such investment on the community, in which the investment is sought. We aim to make a positive contribution to local communities, in which we, our subsidiaries and portfolio companies operate. And we are determined to change the lives of our consumers, for the better.

In order to emphasize our commitment to social impact investments, GPIC and its Chief Executive Officer was selected in 2016 to participate in the GLG Social Impact Fellowship.
